Jury Assignment 1 - Double Sided Relief (Process)

Jury Assignment 1, Double Sided Relief
In the jury assignment 1, the main outline was to make a double-sided relief representing the concepts that has been argued so far (repetition, dominance, rhythm etc).

First try (top)
First try (bottom)
In the first try, I aimed to represent hierarchy (as the prisms go smaller from left to right) and dominance. My work was said to be primitive and weak on the bottom side.

Second try (top)
Second try (bottom)
In the second try I aimed to achieve hierarchy on top side (as there's an increase in height) and rhythm on bottom side (as there's a patternish usage of prisms performing sort of a movement). My work was said to be linear, and primitive again.

Third try (top)
Third try (bottom)
Criticised as 'primitive' for several times, I aimed for greater complexity in my third try. However, this time my work was like a void composition. Besides, limiting the freedom of the project with grid was not liked as an idea.

Fourth try (top)
Fourth try (bottom)
I left aside the idea of grid in my fourth try. It was liked as the surface quality, but my elements and relations were so similar that my groups were lost in them. The design was not legible.

NonSerious: They totally worht a nights work!!
