In the first assignment of the theme Repetition and Variation, the main outlines were selecting three tonal areas from the previous assignment as the design elements and making a 2D desing using the elements.
Scaling, mirroring and rotating were
emphasized and
recommended.

My first assignment was arbitrarily made, symmetrical and had uneffective usage of ground. On the other hand, I aimed to reach the idea of a gradual change in size in the general composition. My project was said to be linear and symmetrical.

| My second project (delivered in 16.10.2017 11.00) |
My second project had better overall organisation and better usage of the ground. My groups (the design elements clustered within a rectangular outline) was said to be closed groups, and the overall organisation was said to be rather simple. I aimed to support the ideas of
scaling and
rotating.
The project was graded as
CC.
